For mainland Netherlands, we use either DHL or PostNL, standard service.  I strongly recommend upgrading to an insured/recorded delivery.  Shipping prices vary according to country, and will be calculated on the checkout page.  I would strongly advice selecting the 'insured delivery' option as otherwise I cannot be held responsible for any items lost/damaged during transit if they are not insured. Both DHL ad PostNL in the Netherlands are very reliable but I can't vouch for other countries services - and mistakes can and do happen.

For deliveries within the Noordoostpolder area, it may be possible for either myself or my husband to deliver it ourselves (no promises).  Please contact me in advance to check if this is possible, and if so, for me to invoice you without delivery charges.  Once again, I can't guarantee this, but will certainly do my best (all depends how busy I/we are, and whereabouts in the polder you are!) 

For all countries outside not listed, please contact me for a delivery quote.  It goes without saying that I shall endeavor to use the cheapest of the two services I use. (DHL or PostNL).  All International deliveries must be insured.  Standard delivery is not available.  Non EU countries may be required to pay a customs fee.  That is your (the customer's) responsibility, not that of Harefield Cottage.


I use Stripe (which is secure and encrypted; I cannot see your financial details) for online payments by debit/credit card and am also more than happy to accept offline payments (bank transfer). Instructions on how to do this will be provided upon checkout. This can take several working days for me to receive cleared funds, and unfortunately I cannot dispatch your order until it has cleared. I will of course hold back your items during this time. Although. very often, it can clear the same day. It all depends on how quick both your bank are as well as mine.


I am more than happy to accept returns if either faulty/damaged or even that you do not like the item(s) providing that they are returned in unused condition (except where damaged in shipping AND insured).  All orders outside of the Netherlands will be sent via an insured service automatically. If the return is simply an item that you don't like, or have changed your mind, then I shall gladly refund you less the delivery charges.  If you receive an item that has been damaged during shipping, AND it was insured, of course I shall refund you the full amount, including delivery charges, or replace the item. Any item that is personalised, or a bespoke order is non refundable unless damaged and insured.
